• Implement management techniques for the continuous improvement of existing products / services.

The role of Production and Operations Management in corporate strategy;
The role of Information Systems as a source of competitive advantage in the management of logistics chains;

2. The role of Quality in Operations Management
Quality concepts and objectives;
Quality Management Tools
Quality Management System;

3. Integration of Production and Operations in Logistics Systems
Postponement operations;
The Just-In-Time philosophy;
Lean Management;

4. Simulation of Processes and Operations
The role of simulation;
Stages of a simulation study;
Process simulation using Arena software.


Teaching methodologies

Expository and participatory method, using audiovisual means: analysis and elaboration of cases and practical exercises, presentations and discussions.

Assessment methodologies and evidences

Elaboration and presentation of Group Research Papers (GRP) that have a minimum grade of 10 points.
